Authorities from Mexico were seen blocking an American military plane from deporting a huge number of illegal migrants on Thursday.
The news comes as Donald Trump speeds up the process of immigration crackdown as promised during his campaign.
The flight was said to be one of the three that was going to reach Mexico as per American officials. However, the jet packed with migrants never took off after being denied clearance from the south of the border, warning that the plane would not be allowed to land on Mexican soil.
The news gives rise to a new flare of temperatures between Trump and Mexico which many fear might be the start of a new war and more tensions between both sides.
Deporting migrants to foreign nations requires special permission from the incoming country’s government which Mexico declined on Thursday.
It’s still not clear why they refused the clearance and chose to block the flight that came hours after an American hiker was also shot dead by a suspected Mexican carter member if California a few hundred yards north of the border.
