The late pop music legend Michael Jackson’s only daughter, Paris Jackson, recently revealed that she identifies as a Black woman even though she is mixed race.
Paris pays tribute to her father’s heritage and legacy, both musically and physically, saying, “I consider myself Black,” stating that her father would insist she is Black and to “be proud of your roots.”

Paris Jackson, an American actress, singer, and model, was born on April 3, 1998. Her parents are Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe.

The young woman also acknowledged that by the time she was 15, she had made “multiple attempts” at suicide. In 2019, she checked herself into a treatment center.
“It was just self-hatred,” she added.low self-esteem, the belief that I was no longer worthy of life, and the belief that I couldn’t accomplish anything correctly.
“She is my father.”
She shares that her big brother Prince Michael Jackson is a major influence on her today, saying, “He’s everything to me, you know?” “I’ve always looked up to him and always wanted his approval and everything, and wanted to be more like him,” she said in 2020 when discussing her relationship with Prince to People.
However, Prince claims that his younger sister is more like their dad. In essence, she is my dad’s personality. Her age and gender are the only things that are unusual.
“In all of her strengths, and almost all of her weaknesses as well,” he continues, comparing his younger sister to her father. She has a lot of passion.
She is dedicated to upholding her father’s legacy in addition to being extremely passionate about her work, which includes walking the catwalk for well-known fashion labels like Chanel and serving as the lead singer and guitarist for the band The Soundflowers.
“My entire family performs music. In 2020, she declared, “I mean, I’m a Jackson.” “My being a musician makes sense, but what about Jackson performing folk indie?”
The race is everything.
On the subject of race, she also identifies with her late father.
The hitmaker, who was African-American and had a darker complexion in his younger years, was said to have Vitiligo, a condition that alters skin color, whereas the Beat It singer had fair skin later in life.
Throughout his career, Jackson’s changing appearance generated a lot of conjecture, and he consistently denied bleaching his skin.
The thriller star claimed in a 1993 interview with Oprah Winfrey that his nose work was the only cosmetic procedure he had undergone and that Vitiligo was the cause of his skin’s depigmentation.
“I take pride in my race. At the time, Jackson told Winfrey, “I am proud of who I am.”
According to Paris, she identifies as black because of her father’s African-American ancestry.
Paris stated that she “considers [herself] black” and that “[Michael] would look me in the eyes and he’d point his finger at me and he’d be like, ‘You’re Black,’” in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine in 2017. Take pride in your heritage.
Speaking about her lighter skin, she says that many people think she’s from “Finland or something” because of her bleached blonde hair and bright blue eyes. “And I’d be like, ‘okay, he’s my dad, why would he lie to me?’” I simply trust what he told me. [Because] he has never lied to me as far as I know.
It should come as no surprise that she faced some criticism after her racial declaration was made public. “I understand that she considers herself black and everything, but I’m just talking about the visual because you know…black is not what you call yourself, it’s what the cops see when they got steel to your neck on the turnpike,” said talk show host Wendy Williams, who was outspoken in her mockery of Jackson’s only daughter for identifying as a black woman.
“It’s what they see,” she continues. However, that’s adorable and beneficial for her.
